This 17 km hike follows a memorial route inspired by the Battle of the Bulge, which took place in winter 1944.

The town of Bastogne has its name written in ink in history: this is where American troops stopped the German offensive during WW2. From the Mardasson monument, the trail takes you towards the countryside where fierce fighting took place then to the  Bois de la Paix.
