Built in the 16th century by Jacques du Broeucq, Boussu Castle offers a visit rich in cutural and nature gems.

Near Mons and the Grand Hornu site, visitors can discover this castle and the funeral chapel of its former lords: a unique architectural complex.

An exceptional Renaissance monument

The archaeological site and the castle are listed as exceptional cultural heritage of Wallonia.

The castle, beautifully renovated, can be visited by the public and is now home to an Interpretation Centre and regularly hosts activities.

The Interpretation Centre

The galleries feature artefacts from the Gallo Roman era to the 20th century, as well as a 3D reconstruction of the castle through time. Visitors will also discover the Lapidary Museum.

The gardens

The estate, stretching over 12 hectares, counts hundred-years-old trees, a fascinating biodiversity and hives. Take a stroll along its sweet little paths to admire its lawns, ponds, gardens and varied foliage. The former pavilion is now a nature observatory.
